Although this box has an expiration date of Dec 1949, the contents are mostly related to the “Homecoming Parade” of College of Pacific on Saturday, October 19, 1957.
We’re jumping 8 years ahead, and yes, there’s a difference in feel noticeable throughout the images. The world is changing.
Tommy, the Pacific Tiger, is prominently featured in this parade. I’ll let the subtitles for the images do the talking.

Joel must have gotten in, or on the car hood, for the last shot based on perspective.
And of course, Joel wouldn’t be Joel if he didn’t ask the majorette to strike a pose along the way.

That’s it for this 8 year jump ahead in time @ College of Pacific life.
There were two more negatives in the box of the same wall mosaic. I have no reference where this is, or when this was photographed.

All the above images were copied or printed by Joel at one point in time. Back to 1949 in the next blogpost.
Cheers !

I’m fairly certain the majorette with the marching band behind is also from Manteca High School, that would make the majorette Addie Darling, for whom the current MHS music hall is named.
