The title on this box was self explanatory, the contents illustrative.
Before we check out the “Christmas Pageant”, I’m showing two water polo images that were both published in the Naranjado 1949 College of Pacific Yearbook.
The rest of the images all belong to the “Christmas Pageant” documentary photo shoot. Date is Dec 20, 1948, a Monday Evening.
As usual for large Stockton events, it plays in the Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium. Joel captures a pretty large crowd attending the event.
From above image, it becomes clear that this is a College of Pacific event with support of the Symphony.
There’s music, ballet and dance, while the background shows a children’s theme. There’s a nutcracker element to it.
That’s it for this box of negatives. It’s clear the College of Pacific creatives didn’t shy away from large productions for the entertainment of the Stocktonians.
