Two models, Box 59, 1948

Last blog post we ended showing students lounging in the sun around the College of Pacific swimming pool.

Today we’re looking at portraits of three of the students willing to play model for a few images. The appeal of photographs !

Joel is clearly influenced by the posing habits of the days, the examples he sees in the photography magazines, and a good amount of cheesecake from his WWII days.

This said, all images below were printed and I know from 3rd party references, that quite a few of them were cropped and enlarged to 8×10 print format.

From these eight images, I’m pretty sure these young women are taking their posing cues from Joel.

That was it for box 59 with a lot of images from June-July 1948.

Next blog post is about more circus images, track sports and car racing.

Cheers !
